The Quarter Inch Bells

A pair of reel-to-reel tape recorders are linked, recording and playing back at different speeds, to modulate and transform the sound of toy instruments and household items, toy piano in particular. Through this process, these instruments - often tinny, plastic, even harsh sounding - evolve into something far deeper & richer; something with a spiritual, almost ceremonial quality. Currently in development.
